03 · A Landmark Year

A special year for the School and the Society.

Marking three of the most significant anniversaries in the history of Trent College. A landmark year, bringing generations of Old Tridents, parents, governors, staff and friends together.

160 Years

Since the school's foundation

Founded in 1866, Trent College has shaped generations of young people for almost 160 years through academic excellence, exceptional opportunities in sport, the arts and wider school life, and developed lifelong friendships.

50 Years

Of co-education

Trent College welcomed its first girl in September 1975, marking the bold step towards co-education. Fifty years on, we celebrate the generations of girls who have helped shape the life of the school and continue to contribute to its vibrant and inclusive community.

150 Years

Of the Chapel

Completed in 1875, the ‘Chapel of our College’ stands as a memorial to the school's founding member, Francis Wright, and has been at the centre of Trent life ever since.
